Dr CHEUNG King-Ho
Associate Professor, Teaching and Research Division
Vincent V. C. Woo Endowed Associate Professor in Chinese Medicine

Dr. Cheung is a local trained scientist. He obtained his Bachelor Degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1999 and PhD in Physiology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2004. After that, he pursued his postdoctoral training in electrophysiology and calcium signaling at The University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA, USA) under the supervision of Prof. Kevin Foskett (2004-2010).

In 2010, He took up the Assistant Professor position at the Department of Physiology, University of Hong Kong and joined the School of Chinese Medicine, Hong Kong Baptist University in 2017 as the Associate Professor. Dr.Cheung's research focuses on the structure/function of ion channels and their roles in disease pathogenesis, particularly in the Alzheimer's disease. His work has been published in several top-ranked journals including Neuron, Cell, PNAS and Science Signaling.
